The principle of polyacrylamide used in the clarification of fruit juice in sugar factories is closely related to the use characteristics of the flocculant PAM. There are the following points:

(4) Thickening. Polyacrylamide has a thickening effect under neutral and acidic conditions. When the PH value is above 10, PAM is easily hydrolyzed. When it has a semi-net structure, the thickening will be more pronounced.
