Anionic Polyacrylamide Flocculant Additives APAM Water Treatment Chemicals MSDS
PAM polyacrylamide, also known as flocculant or coagulant, is a linear polymer with a molecular weight of 3-25 million. The appearance of the solid product is a white powder, and the liquid is a colorless viscous colloid, which is easily soluble in water and almost insoluble in organic solvents. When used, it should be dissolved at room temperature, and it is easy to decompose when it exceeds 150℃. It is non-hazardous, non-toxic, and non-corrosive. Solid PAM has the characteristics of moisture absorption, flocculation, adhesion, resistance reduction, thickening, and good stability.
How to use PAM anionic polyacrylamide products
1. Prepare a 0.1-0.3% concentration aqueous solution during use, preferably neutral and salt-free.
2. Sprinkle the product evenly into the stirred water when dissolving, and control the stirring speed at 100-300rpm. Proper heating (<60℃) can accelerate the dissolution.
3. Adjust the pH value of the treated liquid to make polyacrylamide fully play its role. (Select the best PH value and polyacrylamide dosage through experiments).
4. When adding polyacrylamide solution, speed up the mixing with the liquid to be treated. After the flocs appear, reduce the stirring speed to facilitate the growth of the flocs and accelerate the sedimentation.

PAM anionic polyacrylamide storage and transportation and matters needing attention:
The product itself is non-toxic. Only when the inhalation is greater than five thousandths, the absorption of nutrients by the gastrointestinal mucosa will be blocked and harmful. The residual acrylamide monomer in the product is toxic, and food applications must be strictly controlled. Storage and transportation should be moisture-proof.
