Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a general term for acrylamide homopolymer or polymers obtained by copolymerization with other monomers. It is one of the most widely used varieties of water-soluble polymers. It is a hard glassy solid at room temperature, and becomes a transparent liquid after dissolution. After long-term storage of the liquid, the viscosity of the solution will decrease due to the slow degradation of the polymer. The main application areas are water treatment, papermaking, mining, metallurgy, etc.
