PAM Chemical Water Treatment Polyacrylamide Treatment Of Slaughter Sewage
Polyacrylamide is abbreviated as PAM. Polyacrylamide PAM is a water-soluble polymer, insoluble in most organic solvents. It has good flocculation and can reduce the friction resistance between liquids. It can be divided into non-ionic type according to ionic characteristics. Four types: anion, cation and amphoteric. It is widely used in water treatment, papermaking, petroleum, coal, mining and metallurgy, geology, textile, construction and other industrial sectors.

The treatment of slaughter wastewater is flocculation using polyaluminum chloride and organic flocculants. Generally, industrial grade polyaluminum chloride and cationic polyacrylamide with higher ionicity are used. Reuse centrifuge or filter press for dehydration treatment. After the above treatment, the moisture content of the residue is already very low. After less sun exposure, it can be air-dried and used for fertilizer processing. The discharged water can also meet the discharge standard. Used for breeding or irrigation of farmland.
The use of polyacrylamide should follow the following principles:
1. Granular polyacrylamide flocculant cannot be directly added to sewage. It must be dissolved in water before use, and its aqueous solution is used to treat sewage.
2. The water used to dissolve the granular polymer should be clean (such as tap water), not sewage. Water at room temperature is sufficient, and heating is generally not required. When the water temperature is lower than 5°C, the dissolution is very slow. Increasing the water temperature will speed up the dissolution rate, but if the temperature is higher than 40°C, the polymer will degrade faster, which will affect the use effect. Generally, tap water is suitable for preparing polymer solutions. Strong acid, strong alkali, and high salt water should not be prepared.
3. The recommended concentration of polymer solution is 0.1%-0.3%, that is, 1g-3g polymer powder is added to 1 liter of water.
