Anionic Polyacrylamide Flocculant Agent APAM Powder Water Treatment Chemicals
Polyacrylamide is abbreviated as PAM. It is a linear polymer and one of the most widely used products in water-soluble polymer compounds. Polyacrylamide and its derivatives can be used as effective flocculants, thickeners, paper enhancers and liquid Drag reducers, etc., are widely used in industrial fields such as water treatment, papermaking, petroleum, coal, mining and metallurgical geology, light textiles, and construction. It is insoluble in most organic solvents and has good flocculation properties, which can reduce the frictional resistance between liquids. According to the ionic characteristics, it can be divided into four types: anion, cation, non-ion and zwitterion.

How to use polyacrylamide and matters needing attention:
1. Powder or granular polyacrylamide must be dissolved in water first, and then its aqueous solution is added to the sewage in a certain proportion.
2. The water to dissolve PAM should be clean tap water, the water temperature should not exceed 60℃, and normal temperature is fine.
3. The concentration of polyacrylamide PAM solution is generally 0.1 to 0.3%.
4. Due to the poor shear performance of polyacrylamide, long-term high-speed stirring will cause product degradation and reduce its use effect. Generally, the stirring speed during the dissolution process is preferably between 60-120 revolutions per minute.
5. In the process of dissolving, the speed of adding flocculant should be slowed down as much as possible, and at the same time slowly dispersed into the vortex of water to avoid the flocculant particles from sticking to each other after adding and entering the water.
6. In order to avoid the degradation of polyacrylamide solution and affect the effect, it is recommended to dissolve and use it on the same day and avoid long-term storage.
